Our Mission

The Hong Kong Foundation for the Prevention of Animal Abuse (HKFPAA) is a registered non-profit charity under Section 88 of the Hong Kong Inland Revenue Ordinance. Grounded in science and centered on compassion, we are committed to:

Preventing Abuse - Reducing the possibility of animal suffering at its roots through public education and policy advocacy.
Timely Rescue - Providing urgent medical care and shelter for abused, abandoned, or injured animals.
Promoting Education – Fostering a public appreciation for the value of life, especially among the younger generations.
Enhancing Welfare -Raising societal awareness and attention to the physical and psychological needs of animals.

Providing age-appropriate animal welfare materials to primary and secondary schools and kindergartens across Hong Kong.
Conducting teacher training workshops to enhance educators' relevant knowledge.
Regularly organizing public lectures and exhibitions at community centers and libraries.
Creating multimedia educational resources for widespread dissemination through online platforms.

Training animal welfare inspectors to assist in investigating abuse cases.
Offering continuous professional development courses for veterinarians and animal caregivers.
Establishing a volunteer training system to ensure service quality and animal safety.
Collaborating with higher education institutions to conduct animal welfare research.
